New Theme at knupNET

Mar 23rd, 2007 | By knup | Category: Search Engine Optimization

Thanks to Thilak over at TechBuzz - knupNET has a new theme. As I’ve stated before, I have more knowledge on internet/affiliate marketing than I do on search engine optimization. In a recent email conversation with Thilak he gave me a great tip. Apparently the theme I had started with here at knupNET was not SEO friendly AT ALL. Mainly due to the left sidebar and not getting my content recognized by the bots first. So, soaking in this advice I went out and found a new template to start with. I’ve finished installing it and customizing it to my needs and must say that I’m very pleased with the change. This template just seems much simpler and not as busy. Getting rid of the left sidebar will surely have huge advantages with the search spiders as well. Thanks a lot Thilak - those are the types of tips that help newcomers to this industry succeed. Everyone head on over to Tech-Buzz.net and check it out!

Any further comments on the SEO with this site? Other things I can do to really help this site grow?

  1. Add a slash after your permalink, it’ll improve pageload time.

And also install subscribe to comments pluign.

PS: I had left a long comment on this post. I’m not sure where it disappeared

  2. Oh.. yeah! Now I get it. I use Keyboard shortcuts to jump across forms, so I press tab and it took me to your main page :(

  3. I am also new to blogging but here is an advise; I know there is a plugin for wordpress that will make the post tittle come first in the title bar so it will make your ranks in engines a bit high

  4. knight17… Thanks for commenting! I use the Title plugin as you can see the post title comes first.

Thilak: Slash after permalink? Ok - I’ll do it :) Thanks again!
