I can’t stop buying domains

Oct 10th, 2007 | By knup | Category: knupNET Sites

I’m officially on website “tilt“.  Is there such a thing?  These days every single thing I see, read or hear launches a trigger in my mind that says - that would make for a great website.  Or, I could monetize that Niche into a website.  It’s getting out of control  :)  GoDaddy is becoming my best friend and domain costs are going to be outrageous this month.  That just means that I have to spend the 2nd half of October and all of November developing and monetizing these sites.  I can do it!  As most of you know I run several networks of sites along with lots of individual sites.  Many of them aren’t much more than ideas with a skeleton at this point.  But in the near future I want all of these functioning even if it means paying writers.  The quicker I get started on these the more valuable they will be in the future.  Think of it as a long term website investment!  Anyone else ever felt like the were on website tilt?  Check out my  to see some of the latest action I’m getting into  :)

  1. I know the feeling. I have so many ideas and never enough time to get them all done and off the ground. Recently I have been thinking of selling some domains off but I just can’t do it.

  2. LGR - same here. Everytime I tell myself I’m going to sell a domain/site, I don’t go through with it because the site could “Still” be something someday! It’s a problem :) Maybe a good problem, but a problem none the less… ha…

  3. I know EXACTLY how you feel. I have more domains than I have ideas, and when I come up with an idea, I almost instantly buy a domain! Hope it will all pay off in the end. After all, domains aren’t all that expensive, but the return can be tremendous.

  4. Haha..I feel ya there. What are you going to do when .asia is released to the public to purchase in February? I’m already researching which domains I want :)

  5. Great to hear that honesty. Ideas always seem to be easier to come up with than the discipline to take it to successful monetization.

    I am glad, I am not alone…

  6. I know exactly what you mean, I have so many domains that had great ideas attached to them that I never actually went through with.
