My first question, and probably yours, is - What is Jaiku???  Jaiku is similar to Twitter or Pownce in that it is a microblogging site.  Jaiku is definitely not as big or established as these other two which is why I’m surprised Google pulled the trigger on it.  Must have been something they liked about the company over a Twitter.  The business Jaiku offers is a key match for Google because it has a big presence in the activity and mobile markets.  And as we all know, Google is trying to make up ground in these markets.  Along with Adsense for mobile, the acquisition of Jaiku is just more proof that Google is trying to take over the world
