Mint is fresh for finances

A few weeks ago I read about a new website called Mint. Mint was a place where you can pull all of your financial data into one place and easily track spending and get some tips on how you could save. Great idea or no?
I decided to give it a try with a couple of my accounts for a few weeks. The first couple days were rough as Mint must have hit some huge traffic that they weren’t prepared for. After the first few days, things were better. I was able to easily add a few accounts and pull in transaction data for these accounts. Most transactions are categorized already but for the ones that aren’t, it’s a cinch to assign one. The coolest part was that it gave me some options for saving money. Told me I could move from my x% bank account to this other X% savings account and save X amount of $$$ each year. Coool! The other neat thing it showed was spending trends.
As Mint grows I’m sure they have plans to add in several other features. I think a budgetting part would be neat as well as the ability to add your own category. I won’t use Mint as my only financial tracking service – but it’s a neat thing to try and look at if you have some free time!
