So I have been asked this question on occasion and started to think about it a little myself.

Why Do I Blog?

It’s a tough question actually. I don’t really like to write so that’s not it. I’m not the best grammar/english student so thats out. Here are just a few reasons I can think of for now.

1. The Dream of Getting Big - I think this is the big one for me. And probably for many of you as well. We all read and hear everyday about the next “internet millionaire” and about how easy it is to make money online. I just keep coming up with new project ideas where I say to myself, “Man, if this takes off it could be HUGE.” Of course I realize how much work is involved in blogging and it isn’t an easy task. But I figure some day I’m going to get good at this and one of my sites/blogs will be worthwhile
2. Passionate about the subject - I own and write at several sites of all different subjects. But the key to all of them is they are about something I’m passionate about. I love computers, internet marketing and the thought of being a web entrepreneur. I have a passion for sports in particular the St. Louis Cardinals and a dislike for the Cubbies. Having a real interest in a subject is huge to having a successful blog. If your heart is not in it - it will fail.
3. Feel Knowledgeable - It is a pretty good feeling when you feel like an expert on a certain subject. Yourself and others around you know - if they have a question related to a topic - they can ask you and you will know.

So these are just a few reasons I can think of off the top of my head on why I blog. Why do you blog?
