Considering Giving Prize
Sep 10th, 2007 | By knup | Category: BloggingSo I’m considering forking up a prize for the problogger contest that is starting later this month. This would be huge for a small blog like knupNET to get the ball rolling. Not only would it provide links from one of the main sites in the industry, problogger, but it would likely get some other links from sites as well. So the questions are:
1) Should I fork up the money and donate a gift? Is it worth the publicity I’ll get from this?
2) If so – what prize? Darren mentioned that they get tons of “free ebooks” and other online stuff like that. But that’s not typically good enough. They are wanting WII’s and Ipods, etc… Need a creative idea on what to give. Anyone?
I wouldn’t give too much. He doesn’t give proper backlinks. If you get a link in his post mentioning your donation, it will have the no follow tag, meaning you don’t get a proper backlink.
I know this because he included me in one of his blogging tips projects, and there was no backlink to my site.
