First PPC Success Report

Dec 12th, 2007 | By knup | Category: Affiliate Marketing, PPC

I’m pleased to announce my very first success with PPC and Affiliate programs.  Ok, so it’s not thousands of dollars.  Heck, it’s not even hundreds of dollars.  BUT, it’s my first affliliate sale stemming directly from PPC.  As most of you know I’m a newbie to this world of PPC.  I set up one small PPC campaign in Google Adwords and am letting it just run for a month without really tweaking it.  I started out with it in the Search Network only but now I’m getting most of my hits from the Content Network.  Here are my results to date:

  • ad has been live for 15 days
  • I’ve had 55 clicks and 74,213 Impressions
  • Spent $11.19 on those clicks
  • Had 1 affiliate sale
  • Earned $33.90 from that sale

Nice. So I am seeing some profit so far.  But that coulda just been a lucky sale.  Hopefully after a month I’ll have a little better feel for how this all works.  And for you experts - please don’t laugh at me being exciting about making $22.80  :)  I know it’s weak - but it’s a start.  And we all have to start somewhere.  Right?

  1. Are you sending people straight to the affiliate URL or do you have a landing page setup that you are sending people too?

I use PPC but not for Affiliate sales only promotion.

  2. congrats on the sale

I’m still waiting on my first

I’m only at $4.09 spend for the month so far though so I need to pick up the pace; )

  3. I never try PPC before just like you…I’ve no idea where to start..Anyway, congrats on the sale:D

  4. That’s great! I am happy for you dude. Compared to me, I earned only $7.80 for the last three months. :(

  5. Ryan,

If anyone laughs at your efforts … especially because they are small in overall size … they wil only be displaying their ignorance.

Everyone starts somewhere … except for those who never start.

Everyone _smart_ starts small so as to keep things under control and learn the most while paying the least “tuition”.

And many try over and over again before they attain more than a razor’s edge of success.

In your case you are getting a better than 300% ROI and as someone who has both made and lost money … that is pretty darn, no … exceptionally good performance.

  6. The normal fellow would think that investing the time to obtain opinions on this topic is a waste of resources.

  7. […] little over a month ago I gave a quick update on how I had 1 (my first) affiliate sale from the PPC/Affiliate expirement I started.  I wanted to […]
