I’ve been making money online for just over 6 months now.  I have started building my future “empire” of sites and mainly make my money from Google Adsense, Text Link Ads, private link sales and a few other random things.  I get all of my traffic from search engine optimization across the network of sites.

I’m ready to jump to that next level. PPC and AFFILIATE MARKETING!  Zac Johnson over at zacjohnson.com has a wonderful piece called “The Super Affiliate’s Guide to PPC Marketing“.  I have studied this, studied many other affiliate marketing sites, and am ready to get to that next level in my make money online business.

So I started this little journey 4-5 days ago.  I have an adwords account so that was easy.  I registered for NeverblueAds like Zac suggested.  They just got back to me last night so I started with Clickbank. I picked a fairly high paying offer with Clickbank and created a new Adwords campaign.  Remember, I’m new to all of this and expect to lose some money learning.  I added all the keywords I could find – broad matches, exact matches, etc. related to my offer.  I used one of my domain names and actually did a redirect directly to the offer.  (I’m not sure if I can do this – but I think this is what Zac suggests.  Anyone???) I did some expirementing with bidding and finally started to get some impressions and even some clicks.  Wonderful!

Well that was easy – now sit back and watch the magic.  Wrong    In 5 days I have 31,362 impressions and 24 clicks for this campaign.  I have spent $5.15 on these ads and have no conversions.  Of course I don’t expect conversions with this little traffic.

I also created a couple other campaigns using a few different offers, including one with NeverblueAds!  I worked these the exact same way as offer #1. Nothing looks rejected.  But for some reason I have ZERO impressions.  What the heck?  Everything I try just results in zero impressions for these campaigns.  Anyone? Any thoughts?

I’m committed to making this work. I will put the money and time into making it happen. Anyone have any advice for a PPC newbie? Anyone want to “take me under their wing” and show me the ropes?
